Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machine is another highly efficient type of packaging machine, similar to the Horizontal Form Fill Seal machine (HFFS), but with a key difference in its design and operation.
As the name suggests, a VFFS machine operates in a vertical direction, forming, filling, and sealing packages from a roll of film that moves vertically, typically producing upright, stand-up pouches or bags
How Works
Film Unrolling
A roll of flexible packaging film is unrolled and fed into the machine.
Forming the Pouch
The film is shaped around a forming collar or tube, creating the desired pouch shape, with the bottom sealed.
Filling the Pouch
The product is dispensed into the formed pouch using various filling mechanisms.
Sealing the Pouch
The top of the pouch is sealed with heat and pressure to secure the contents.
Cutting and Discharge
The sealed pouch is cut from the film and discharged onto a conveyor for further processing or shipment.
