Product Gripping

At the pick position, the cobot arm descends to the product and the end-of-arm tool — the gripper mounted on the end of the cobot arm — makes contact with the product and grips it securely. The type of gripper used depends on the product being palletized

For sealed cases and boxes

A vacuum gripper uses suction cups to grip the top face of the case, applying vacuum pressure that holds the case firmly against the gripper plate. Vacuum grippers are fast, gentle, and reliable for most corrugated case formats.

For bags and pouches

Large-area sponge grippers were selected for materials in bagged packaging to maintain high gripping force, ensuring improved handling efficiency without compromising the integrity of the packaging. Once the palletizing parameters and basic dimensions of the materials have been configured, the process can proceed just as smoothly as with standard products.

For loose or unstable packaging

Custom-designed, sensor-controlled telescoping metal clamps to ensure precise palletizing while improving gripping efficiency. Once the pallet configuration and basic material information are set up, the system operates just as efficiently as it does with standard products.

For round drums

Designed to address the challenges of round drums—which tend to roll easily and require protection against scratches—these custom drum clamps feature a curved, form-fitting design and are made of slip-resistant, wear-resistant materials. They not only protect the drum’s exterior from damage but also ensure a secure grip. By simply pre-setting the drum’s diameter, height, and palletizing parameters, palletizing operations can be completed as efficiently as with standard materials.

No Safety Cage Required

This solution addresses the safety hazard posed by workers accidentally entering the operational area and colliding with equipment during palletizing operations. The custom-designed LiDAR collision avoidance system accurately detects personnel and obstacles within the work area in real time, triggering an immediate shutdown upon detection. This ensures operational safety without compromising palletizing efficiency.

Additionally, the system can be customized to detect door openings and automatically shut down the machine, preventing workers from opening the electrical cabinet while the machine is in operation.
